History:

Leaving Tosa to train in Edo for the first time
People were not able to freely travel around the whole of Japan in 1853, so this was a very exciting time for Ryouma as it was his first time seeing the world beyond the Tosa Domain.
The arrival of the Black Ships
The event that set everything off in Ryouma's life as it changed his entire worldview. He became obsessed with ships and started to form his ideas about how to change and protect the country because it became clear to him that swords were not going to be enough anymore.
Desertion from Tosa
Ryouma realised that he could not accomplish his goals within the Tosa Domain and so he deserted the domain, which was an act punishable by treason at the time. Because desertion was such a serious crime and life would become very dangerous, Ryouma left in the night without telling his best friend, Izō. This eventually drives a significant wedge between them in their relationship.
Ikedaya Incident
Although Ryouma was not directly involved, the Shinsengumi raid on the Ikedaya that saw a lot of comrades killed was very much a wake-up call to Ryouma about how serious things were. This is the first time he vows to take up "the burden of their dreams" and promises to create the better world they all dreamed of ~~no pressure~~.
Execution of Okada Izō
Ryouma was known to be a crybaby as a child, so when he got older he said he would never cry ever again. For the most part, he was successful except for the day he received the letter bearing news that Izō had been executed.
Formation of the Satsuma-Chōshu Alliance
One of Ryouma's most significant accomplishments, he was central to the near-impossible union of two domains who completely hated each other.
Teradaya-Fushimi Incident
Ryouma was nearly killed when a shogunate force attacked the inn. He was injured in the attack and nearly died and had to endure a painful convalescence but the experience did nothing but encourage him to keep going.
Second Choshu Punitive Expedition
Ryouma's first time going into a real battle. He engaged in several sorties with enemy ships and helped Chōshu secure an unexpected and significant victory against the odds. He was particularly moved to see the common folk fighting against the samurai and winning.
Meeting Oryou
Because Ryouma would not sit still and risked getting arrested or attacked again in Kyoto they talked him into going on vacation in Satsuma. Because Ryouma would not sit still he decided to climb Mt. Takachiho. At the top, he found an Orochi sealed by the divine spear impaling her. Ryouma pulled out the spear and said "You've had a really hard time, haven't you?" and left. Oryou — who had been intending to eat him but was so moved by this weirdo guy — decided to follow him after that and they became inseparable (eventually, very literally).
Composing the Senchu Hassaku
The proposals that Ryouma would write while at sea that formed not only the basis for a new government but were also the culmination of a lifetime of lessons and knowledge he gained. Definitely his proudest work.
Pact with the World
The day before Ryouma's death he made a pact with the World to become a Counter Guardian to continue to pursue his "impossible dream". He agreed to become a Counter Guardian believing he would be able to save many, many more people that way.
Assassination

GUDAGUDA Teito Seihai Kitan
Ryouma is drawn into the Imperial Capital Grail War because the outcome poses a threat to humanity. He is reunited with Izō who has also become a Heroic Spirit for the first time and by the end of things they're on much better terms than when they started. Of course, they get to die in a fire at the end but at least they make up?
Appearance in Chaldea
Ryouma and Oryou are "thrown" into Chaldea after the end of the Imperial Capital Singularity and he says he thinks it'll be the best job they've had in a long time. Eventually reunited with Izō (again) whenever he's finally summoned to Chaldea by Ritsuka but since Izō lacks his memories of the Imperial Grail War, only Ryouma remembers that time (so it's very bittersweet rip).
A Meihousou Most Foul
That time Ryouma and Izō got roped into making a movie in a Singularity and Ryouma's storyline that he came up with himself was totally him just working through a lot of feelings about Izō. Which would be great, except they still can't communicate for real.

Strengths & Weaknesses:

Kindness
Described as having been born with innate kindness that makes him dislike conflict to his core. From the start, he only ever thought of ways to create a world where everyone could be happy. Even when people tried to kill him he never held a grudge and died without regrets even though he was assassinated.
Charisma
By game standards, Ryouma has a remarkably high Charisma stat for someone who was never a ruler in life. Throughout his entire life he's always had the ability to get through to people with his words in ways that seemed impossible at the time, such as bringing together two (later three) warring domains and helping them form an alliance.
Selflessness
Ryouma has zero personal ambition whatsoever. Everything he does, he does for other people. He believes in doing 80-90% of something, turning it over to someone else to do the remainder, and then giving them all the credit. This is one reason he was able to successfully negotiate things because he never wanted anything out of what he was doing for himself.

Recklessness
He... really has no self-preservation whatsoever. Early on in life Ryouma arrived at the idea that someone can die whenever doing literally anything so why worry about it when there's way more important things to do? This makes him extremely flippant about things including personal safety. Even after an assassination attempt he wasn't any more cautious (and in fact, got worse) and to this day refuses to change.
Toxic Positivity
Will smile and laugh and say everything is fine even if it isn't. Used to compartmentalizing his own feelings and talking about himself never. Uses this as a tactic often to brush how he feels about things aside in order to focus on anything else which is hardly a healthy way to deal with your emotions. He is often unselfish to the point of it being unhealthy and his kindness can also be a double-edged sword in this because while it draws in allies and supporters many people who know him also consider him somewhat unnerving because of his attitude.
Stubbornness
This has occasionally gotten him in trouble because he'd rather do things the hard way because he won't budge on something, such as when he could have relented and worked together with the Tosa Domain when he needed backing for his company but since he didn't want to be beholden to the domain he refused and had someone else handle those negotiations for him. It was a lot harder but he feels so strongly about his ideals that he couldn't see himself doing it any other way. This also factors into his other weaknesses, since his stubborn brain cell tends to pop up when he won't be dissuaded from acting recklessly or refusing to talk about something.
